Mid Century Cado-Style Wall Unit

Very nice Cado-style wall unit consisting of 4 slats (2″x80″) and 5 modular units: 1-drop down secretary desk with interior shelf and 2 drawers (32″ W x 16″ D x 15″ H), 2-caned door with magnetic latch general storage units (32″ W x 16″ D x 15″ H), 1-wood door with magnetic latch general storage unit (32″ W x 12″ D x 15″ H), and one book shelf unit with open face (32″ W x 12″ D x 15″ H). The holes in slats are in the sides of slats, hence, a royal-Cado-style system.

Hardware for more shelving included (specifically the v-shaped angled metal braces for shelf mounting in the ‘royal’ system.) There are no shelves of that type included however. These are likely for adding additional shelves without sides to them and with the pre-drilled holes.

Beautiful walnut veneer with very few scratches or chips. One caned unit does have noticeable scratches to the top. As such I’ve hung it on top to obscure them from view. The slat mounting hardware seemed insufficient to me and I’ve mounted the two end slats into studs using appropriate screws for my wall and used anchors and screws for the interior two slats. The original hardware for mounting is included however. Pieces are all 32″ wide and my studs are every 24″ unfortunately. (Hence the anchors on the interior two.). All said and done it is very solid
